My relationship has been severely struggling due to my jealousy issues. I borrowed this book from my sister after she recommended I read it and that it would help me overcome my issues. It is a great book. I found the chapter "where does your jealousy come from" to be particularly enlightening to me. If you have or know someone with jealousy issues this book is going to be really helpful for you.

I found some helpful and interesting parts but most of the book is repetitive. Same thing over and over repeated: jealousy is bad, we shouldn't be jealous. I wanted to hear more varieties of how to handle the problem and not why it is bad. We all know why it's bad.

A warm spot for an orange cat

This is one of my most beloved children's books. There are 9 stories following Garfield if he had not just been Jon's cat. My most treasured one is written in cursive, and elusive language that I could not understand in my 6th year of life and I looked at longingly as a secret I tried to decipher through the picture context. Now in my mid 30s there is no guessing and the story is just as wonderful as I imagined it to be. Quite the little treasure in my collection of nonfiction.

Engineers with a Political Agenda

A useful book from an engineering point of view, which is what the book is supposed to deal with. However, when the authors stray into subjects such as the efficacy of governmental standards and their effects on risk and safety, they display the kind of unsubstantiated but absolute opinions one associates more with the Tea Party. As an engineer involved in risk management in capital intensive high-risk areas of the energy industry, I can assure you that government oversight and requirements, however imperfect, are often the only motivation pushing industry to spend money on safety and risk management. It is always easier for corporations to socialize costs - maximizing profits is their goal. It often requires the threat of large economic and legal penalties to make it more cost effective for them to avoid adverse externalized costs in the first place.

Good General Overview

This book is required reading in a class I'm taking. I've been through several chapters at this point and one quiz. The book provides a good foundation for later business classes. It takes you step by step through various types of business structures and includes a good bit of detail about nuances that are present in each state. I am business illiterate, and I am finding this book a good primer. It is a bit dry and written from an outline, but I've read much worse. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who doesn't know much about businesses and their organization and needs a good introduction. There is not much about law or about paralegals tasks, mostly just sidebars stating that a paralegal will probably be filling out the forms and info on where to get the forms.

I got a steal!

Although everyone in my class has the next edition of this book, I saved over $100 purchasing this one. We are at Chapter 10 and I have yet to run any problems. This book has exactly the same information, the only difference is the review questions at the end of each chapter.
