Won't Travel or Purchase Without This Reference!

My travels around Asia sparked my interest in buying gems, jade and pearls. After a few false starts, I knew I needed a resource I could carry with me and consult on the spot. Not only do I feel more confident in my purchases, I know see items that are of value that I passed by because I didn't understand what they were. The book covers a great deal of information despite its small format. At first I wasn't interested in the beginning chapters. I thought they were for jewelers or more serious collectors. Now I'm reading them to gain additional insight into this world. The photos are fabulous. Some of the stones in their original forms are more beautiful than the jewelry versions. I purchased the other 2 books offered with this one, but this is by far the best. There is now a 4th edition you can pre-order.

A must have book

I ordered this book for a gift to give to my wifes co worker who is into stones.
I have went through three copies over the years from 1997 using it to show my customers what the stones they buy from me should look like. I have been making stone a jewelry for over 43 years and this book is the best one I have come across. What this gemstone book has that no other like it has is its fine color plates of each stone. This makes it a great way to show the public what they are buying such as Lapis Lazuli with its iron pyrite that is found in real Lapis Lazuli and with each color listed and with a color plate to use to show and compare. This book should be owned by anyone who sales stones and anyone who buys stones as it is used worldwide as one of the top trade books of its types.

Affordable Classic

I'd waited years for a recent edition of this book, even used, at a reasonable price. Now it's finally affordable as a new hardback.
I was kinda hoping for a book that would let me compare my gemstones to pictures and identify them. This book helped me understand why that kind of book is NOT possible. The best part, for people like me, is the way the many testing techniques and tools are explained, logically and in layman's terms. The book helped me see that learning to use techniques and tools to identify gemstones on my own is possible, and it will undoubtedly help me figure out which tools to invest in first.
Readers familiar with metaphysical uses and astrological correspondences will probably wonder why Schumann chose the sources he did for that type of information, which seem to match neither the traditional nor the esoteric uses. He probably should have stuck to hard science, which is the real strength of this book.

Can't put the book down!

I have not been able to put this book down since I bought it...it is a BDSM story with all the elements that make the BDSM community what it is...safe and consensual. The violent part is what Sydney went thru when Anthony and Colin rescued her from an abusive ex-boyfriend, who belittled her, abused her mentally and physically, and took advantage of her vulnerability when all she wanted was to be a good "sub" to a "Dom"..

I don't know how Book 1 ends as I haven't finished it, so I can't ruin the ending...but I had to write about how well this book is written and the ingenious way the Ms. Sera used a Chapter for each of the main 3 characters...a great POV story!

I put "some" for the sexual content because sex is not the predominate focus of the book...but rather the love and the healing of Sydney that the people surrounding her have for this young woman.

I have pre-ordered Book 2...can't wait to see what happens!

I loved this book

I loved this book! I was not able to put it down, it is very interesting! I feel it really captures the BDSM community.

I enjoyed how you were able to get points of view from the 3 main characters, it makes it so you understand what is going on from not only different points of view but you are also able to see how everyone feels towards everyone else.

I highly recommend this book, not only to people in or interested in the BDSM community but people outside of it too. It is a very interesting and lovely novel.

I am very excited for the next book and the rest of the series!

Not Your Run of the Mill Story -- Hot and Full of Surprises

This story was recommended to me by a very close friend who knows what I like. I am not a reader of traditional BDSM stories. Not that there aren’t a lot of very good BDSM stories, just that you have to wade through dozens to find the one that isn’t a template of the last. I was afraid when I got into this story that it would be one of the hundreds of formulaic stories of this genre that currently flood the market.

Drew Sera surprised me so completely that I may have completely changed my mind about reading more BDSM in the future.

The characters in this story are the strongest part of this story, and that is saying a lot, because the whole story is strong. You immediately are introduced to deep three dimensional characters that are interesting and primed for conflict and development.

The plot rolls and weaves and thunders along a route that is filled with conflict, drops and climbs and turns so much that it will continually keep you guessing what is coming next. The relationships between the parties are filled with desires and friction and competing interests that keep you wondering what comes next and, more importantly, who comes next.

And the sex—after all, that is what we read erotica for—is awesome. It is well written and exciting and sure to get your libido burning hot. No mechanical “inset tab a in slot b” stuff, the sex scenes in this are sure to get your blood boiling, your heart pounding and your electronics buzzing.

Any of you out there that are looking for a refreshing change from the “same old” get this book and have a great time!

Get your mind right

Master Mind by Theron Dumont is a phenomenal work that explains that life is about filling/playing one of two roles, master or slave. A master is one who creates his circumstances. Everyone has at one point or another been a subject of circumstance. However, a slave is one who is the continual victim of circumstances or continually being subjected to external impressions. Master Mind explains how the being of man is represented by a chariot and his Real Self represents the rein, the will: the steeds, the mental states of feeling, emotion, desire, imagination, and the rest. Unless the reigns be strong, they will not be sufficient to control the horses. Unless the charioteer be trained and vigilant, the horses will run away with the chariot and dash to pieces the driver in the general wreck. But controlled and mastered, the fiery steeds will lead forward to attainment and accomplishment, and at the same time will travel the road in safety. Master Mind reiterates and teaches the importance of mastering ones feelings, emotions, desires, thoughts, and most importantly the will. It explains the difference between voluntary and involuntary action. It also discusses the importance of attention and perception. The real question that it all boils down to is mastery or servitude, and if this is what you're currently asking yourself, then this is definitely the book for you. Man must be either the anvil or the hammer. Let each make his choice, and then complain not. Master Mind will definitely cause you to reevaluate all the activities that you face in your life and you how address/perform them. Thus said, if you are a hammer strike your fill, and if you are an anvil stand you still!
