Not a Starter Army.

A good and so-far seems balanced codex, but keep in mind that this is for one half of an army.
This codex does not include hq choices, and is very limited compared to other full-size armies on troop choices as well as heavy supports and fast attack options.
The Cult Mechanicus codex to be released who-knows-when contains the other half of this army and fleshes out the options a bit more.

Fun Codex

This codex does a good job of having its own flavor. I've been rounding out my collection and picking up the "start collecting" boxes to see how fun other armies are to build and paint. For anyone looking at this to go with a "Start Collecting Skitarii" box, be aware you also need the Cult Mechanicus codex for the HQ choice.

Seems like yet another cash grab by GW. Why split up a faction that has traditionally, both in lore and fluff, to work in tandem, other than to make more money by making them two distinct armies and so producing two codex.
